The Significance

 

It can often be difficult in college to find the time and motivation to exercise on top of all of the new responsibilities we are faced with. Luckily, many colleges and universities have some sort of gym or recreation center on campus available for student use, making it an affordable option. There are also a number of exercises that can be done at home or outside with little or no equipment. No matter where you do it, some exercise is always better than no exercise, even if you cannot meet the recommendations. As with nutrition, exercise is extremely important in preventing various types of diseases. Moderate exercise can even boost your immune system and protect you against illnesses that college students are so frequently exposed to. Research has even shown that students who exercise more frequently have significantly higher GPAs, making it all the more worthwhile to fit into your busy schedule.
